My project concerns transnational professional activism in the Cold War and combines my long-standing interests in the transnational history of the Cold War, and the history of the nuclear age as well as the history of science and technology, with a new interest in the social history of medicine. It examines medical activism against nuclear war in Britain, West Germany and the United States during the 1980s.
